47 Stadacona Drive
At Stadacona Drive and Richelieu in North York, a 14-storey purpose-built rental building rises under Toronto’s updated Mid-Rise Guidelines. 47 Stadacona, designed by Studio JCI, brings 260 rental homes to the corner, with massing shaped by the guidelines’ direction on street presence, scale, and liveability.
The building is organized around a direct, compact form that builds efficiently and reads clearly from the street. Consolidating the massing frees the rear of the site for landscaped open space, giving residents a generous green edge. The design carries Studio JCI’s approach to proportion and restraint, with the form resolved through mass and rhythm rather than applied incident.
Homes are planned with generous suite sizes, a mix that supports renters at different stages of life. As purpose-built rental, the 260 units add long-term housing supply to North York, close to the transit and services that make rental living work.
