Gulshan Commercial Development

Dhaka, Bangladesh

145 000 sf.

Concept 2012

This commercial tower’s form is conceived of multiple volumes that dynamically push and pull in response to the internal needs of the tenants, and the external forces of the context. The volumes predominantly house leasable office spaces, where each discrete component can lend itself to individualized branding expression. The building is constructed from steel, and wrapped with a glass envelope. The glazed façade is made dynamic through employing alternating sun shading strategies such as interior panels, and exterior meshes. Dispersed between the office components are public amenity spaces. These consist of restaurants, lounges, and sky gardens. The sky gardens will facilitate beautiful views overlooking the city while also providing additional sun protection and air filtration.
